Developing Funding Applications

Monaghan Public Participation Network (PPN) has organised training for its member groups on “Developing Grant Applications”. This programme of training will be delivered by Cramden TECH solutions who were awarded the contract.

Tuesday 30th October Clones Library, Clones at 6.30pm (Refreshments served on arrival for people coming from work)
Tuesday 6th November Carrickmacross Workhouse at 6.30pm (Refreshments served on arrival for people coming from work)

 

Cramden TECH solutions (Caroline Egan) will deliver the training. Monaghan PPN has worked with this organisation on many occasions and you can be assured the training will be of a very high standard.

The training will focus on important communications tool to influence funders and several different types of Monaghan County Council grant application forms will be used for demonstration purposes throughout the workshop

  • Key steps to writing an application.
  • Importance of reading and understanding guidelines.
  • Why do applications fail the criteria?
  • How to write a needs statement.
  • How to develop a project budget.
  • Collate supporting documents.
  • How to assemble quotes/costings.
  • Getting feedback to unsuccessful grants

The workshop is designed to meet the needs of participants who may have little experience of completing successful grant applications or who may need to re-fresh their knowledge of the process. Topics will be practical in nature and allow participants the opportunity to ask questions and work on practical exercises as they build their knowledge of the grant writing process.
