Harvest is the time when the leaves gradually change colour and we reap what we sow. This has been such a great year that we have much for which to be thankful. On Sunday 28th October Second Ballybay Presbyterian Church on the Clones Road in Ballybay are holding their harvest thanksgiving services. The morning service at 12 noon will be taken by our minister, Rev Dr. Gerry Clinton with special singing by the church choir along with the Sunday School children. The evening service will be taken by Rev Dr. Jean Mackarel who will preach from the Bible on the Harvest Theme: "The Fruits of Revelation". We will have harvest praises in congregational singing led by the Choir and Musicians of the CAVAN PCI Union of Churches. There will be harvest anthems by the Cavan Male Voice Quartet, and harvest solos by Michael Lawson (Voice of Ireland). The church will be decorated for the occasion with flowers, fruit, vegetable and many other emblems as we remember and give thanks for God’s generous goodness in once again providing a great harvest. All members of the community are welcome to join us for this celebration of harvest, and there will be a light supper served in the church hall after the evening service.
