BOWLS
The Ballybay Outdoor Bowling Club had a very good win last week when they had a home game versus Dungannon. This gave the Ballybay team the perfect start in getting the 10 points. This week will see us away to Letterkenny which is on a grass surface and is a lot harder for us to compete on. Despite this we are still confident of a share of the points.
The local league started on Monday evening last with Ballybay whites beating Ballybay Maroon 4 to 2. In the other game Derryvalley had a 10 nil win over Ardaghey. On Friday 4th May we will have Latton play Corcaghan and Ballybay Green play Ballybay Golf Society who are new to the competition so this should be interesting.
A reminder of the outdoor bowls fun tournament that takes place on 7th May on the Ballybay outdoor green in the Town Park. This is in aid of Karen Mc Kenna who has to go Russia for treatment for MS.
