Scoil Eanna Parent Association Bonanza Raffle.
On Wednesday night last 13th December the pupils and staff of Scoil Éanna held their Christmas Carol Service. This was the first time to be performed in St Patricks Church in what could only be described as a fantastic performance by all. Each class took their turn to sing a range of Christmas carols before some students played a number of tunes for the large crowd that attended.
This evening service gave the Parents Association of Scoil Éanna the perfect opportunity to complete the Christmas Raffle Bonanza. With a large array of hampers, vouchers and cash prizes to be won. The First prize was won by Mr Barry Clear. The Parents’ Association Chairperson Michelle Markey concurred with the Scoil Éanna Principal Catherine Flanagan in thanking all the students, staff and teachers for all their hard work that was put into the service. Michelle went on to thank the generosity for all the people and businesses that so kindly donated in any way to the prize pool, all those that did were named on the cards as a thank you. This event raised €4,600 which will be used to support a number of different projects and activities within Scoil Éanna. A special word of thank was expressed to Fr. Owen J McEneaney for his support and for use the church for the rehearsal days and on the night.
The Parents Association went on to explained that each time that association takes on with a fund raiser that it is so important for each child, parent or guardian to do their best in raising much needed funds. They also extended an open invitation to all parent to attend the Association meetings so everyone has input and knowledge of what is happening in our Parents Association.
