Popular local lady Nanny Duffy celebrated her 100th Birthday on 16th December. Until recently she was living in St. Patrick’s Street and attending bingo regularly however she is now resident in St. Josephs Nursing Home. Many will know Nanny from her days working in the Riverdale where she was an important staff member. Earlier this year Nanny enjoyed one of the best days of her 100 year life when she was present for the ordination of Fr. Stephen Duffy. A small celebration for Nanny was held in Cuan Mhuire recently.
