On Thursday last renowned Irish Times journalist and Monaghan native Frank Mc Nally penned his, ‘An Irish Diary’ entitled GRAY AREA. The interesting article took a look at the notorious 19th-century loyalist, ‘Sam Gray of Ballybay’ who more than once he got away with murder – literally – because he could pack juries.
