RAS TAILTEANN PASSES THROUGH TOWN

Stage 5 of the Ras Tailteann (Tour of Ireland bike race) passed through Ballybay on Sunday morning last. Over 165 riders from Ireland and Europe passed through the town on their way from Monaghan Town to Blackrock in County Louth. It was a fantastic spectacle for all who turned up to watch it. The last time the race passed through Ballybay was 1969.
