TIDY TOWNS UPDATE

We would like to sincerely thank Seamus Fitzpatrick, Niall Fitzpatrick, Seamus Duffy and Mark Hughes for supplying the teleporter and clearing gutters along the Main St. last week for the Tidy Towns. It was a great job and greatly appreciated. As the weather has been so bad we left the planters indoors in Charlie Friel’s Garden Centre. Thanks to Cathal for his work on these. The planters will be put out next week. Thanks to Padraig Lennon and CE participants for their help with this. Thanks also to Cuan Mhuire who supply flowers for other flower beds around the town. They will need water to survive and Martin Smyth and Padraig Ward and Padraig Lennon have agreed to help out with this. Hopefully the town will be looking well with all this work in a few weeks. We are urging all property owners to do their bit to keep premises in good repair. Remember also that there is a prize this year for best residential property and best kept business, sponsored by Gerry McElroy. We would also like to thank Michael Leonard from Leonard Engineering for his work on a new decorative hanger for hanging baskets which will be erected at the Bridge at Loch Mor in the next few weeks. We are lucky to have all these people in our town willing to help and give up their time to make Ballybay a Tidy Town.
