Mackey Smyth, who celebrated his 70th birthday last Friday night in Lynch’s of Lisnalong and combined it with a Charity Fundraiser for local charities wishes to say a huge thank you to all those who supported the event either by attending or sending contributions, and by so doing made it such a resounding success. Thanks to Mick McCormick who provided the music and to Kathleen & Paddy for the food. Thanks also to the Northern Standard and local social media platforms for the publicity. Benefitting charities will include Ballybay Cancer Society, Five for the Fight-Cancer Research, Cystic Fibrosis and Loughmourne National School’s Autism Unit. It is gratifying to know that these great organisations will benefit as a result of your remarkable generosity.
